Animation

My name is Nicholas Bannon Alloca, though I go by Nick. I grew up in Dumont, New Jersey with a fasciation in 3D Animation. Growing up, I was drawn to CG shows like Star Wars the Clone Wars, picking apart the actions of the characters. I've always wanted to bring characters, creatures and vehicles to life in realistic and appealing way. I attended Ringling College of Art and Design, graduating in 2024 with Bachelors in Fine Arts in Computer Animation. In the pursuit of my degree, I have learn the principles of animation and worked with every aspect of the animation pipeline. I created 10-20 second animations and a 2 minute short film with bipedal characters that I modelled and rigged. I've worked with industry standard software like Maya, Nuke, Premiere and many others. I'm always looking to learn within the world of animation and push my skills as far as they can go.

Scouting

Scouting has been as big a part of my life as art and animation. I earned my Eagle Scout rank in 2019 after refurbishing a local food pantry. I have also worked at the Boy Scout Camp NoBeBoSco Since 2017, starting as a counselor teaching merit badges like photography and robotics. Later, as Assistant Director of the Outdoor Engineering department I introduced and implemented a class for the Moviemaking merit badge. At the same time, I ran the group that built the massive fires that have become a staple of the camp. In 2023 I moved into the camp office as the Seasonal Office Manager, taking a more central role in the camp and working more closely with the camp directors. I began doing volunteer graphic design work for the camp that same year and in 2024 became much more involved in the creation of designs that would be sold by the camp. Scouting has given me strong leadership and communication skills, elevated my work ethic to a professional level, and most importantly, allowed me to meet some of my closest friends.
